Privacy policy

This site is a personal portfolio run by Waris Hussain. It collects as little as it can get away with. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics profiles, and nothing is sold to anyone.

What is collected

Three things, and only when you choose to do them:

• The contact form. The name, email address and message you type. These are sent so I can reply to you, and for no other purpose.
• Booking a call. If you book through the scheduling widget, the name, email and any details you provide go to Cal.com so the meeting can be created.
• Server logs. The hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, kept for security and reliability, and not used to build a profile of you.

Who processes it

• Web3Forms receives contact form submissions and forwards them to my inbox.
• Cal.com handles scheduling when you book a call. The booking widget is loaded from Cal.com, so opening the contact page contacts their servers.
• Vercel hosts the site and produces the request logs described above.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface. Loading a page requests the font files from Google’s servers.

Each of these is an independent company with its own privacy policy. I do not control what they do with data once it reaches them, beyond choosing to use them.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded third-party content, such as the Cal.com booking widget, may set its own cookies when you interact with it.

How long it is kept

Messages you send stay in my email until they are no longer useful. Bookings live in Cal.com for as long as the account exists. Hosting logs are retained on the provider’s own schedule.

Your choices

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email 57.waris@gmail.com and I will action it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; those rights apply regardless of what this page says.

Children

This site is aimed at people running or working in companies. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
